Introduction

LLM Status helps developers and engineering teams track every AI model their applications depend on and warns them before a model is deprecated or retired, so they can migrate before anything breaks. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to llmstatus.ai, the LLM Status web dashboard, our command-line interface (CLI), and the alerts we deliver. By using LLM Status, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

In this policy, "LLM Status," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Random Artifact, LLC (the operator of the LLM Status service). "You" refers to the person or organization using it.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to run the service and keep your model inventory accurate.

  • Account information: your name and email address, provided through our authentication provider when you sign up or sign in.
  • Your model inventory and usage data: the AI models, dependencies, and related metadata you add to LLM Status, including information the CLI inventories from the code and infrastructure you choose to scan. The CLI reports which models are in use; you control what you connect and submit.
  • Phone number: collected only if you choose to enable SMS alerts by adding your mobile number in the dashboard. If you do not enable SMS, we do not collect a phone number.
  • Payment information: handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We never store or have access to your full card number. We receive limited billing details such as your plan, subscription status, and the last few digits or card brand needed for receipts and support.
  • Product analytics: usage events such as pages viewed, features used, and general device and browser information, collected to understand how the product is used and to improve it.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve LLM Status.

  • To operate the service: track your model inventory, monitor model lifecycle through our live registry, and detect when a model you depend on is changing, being deprecated, or being retired.
  • To deliver alerts: notify you of model-lifecycle events through the in-app feed, email, Slack, Discord, SMS, and webhooks, according to the channels you have enabled.
  • To manage your account and billing: authenticate you, process subscriptions and payments, send receipts, and provide customer support.
  • To improve the product: analyze aggregate usage to understand which features are valuable, diagnose problems, and guide development.
  • To keep the service secure: detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and to comply with legal obligations.

Mobile messaging / SMS

If you enable SMS alerts, we send transactional model-lifecycle notifications by text message. These are the alerts you opted into, such as warnings that a model your applications depend on is being deprecated or retired. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You opt in to SMS by adding your mobile number in the LLM Status dashboard and enabling SMS as an alert channel. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, which stops further texts to that number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at hi@llmstatus.ai.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in information, phone numbers, or SMS consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers collected for SMS are used only to deliver the alerts you requested and are shared solely with the service providers that help us send those messages on our behalf.

Service providers / sub-processors

We share information with a small set of trusted service providers only to the extent needed to operate LLM Status. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not authorize them to use your personal information for their own purposes.

  • Clerk — user authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payment and subscription processing (card numbers are handled by Stripe and never stored by us).
  • Resend — email delivery.
  • Novu — notification orchestration across alert channels.
  • Telnyx — SMS message delivery.
  • Supabase — database and data storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Cloudflare — content delivery network and DNS.
  • PostHog — product analytics.

We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or advertising purposes. As stated above, mobile opt-in information, phone numbers, and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared for marketing or promotional purposes.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the product is used. Our analytics provider, PostHog, helps us measure feature usage and improve the service.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how parts of the service work, such as staying signed in.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

You can delete your workspace at any time from the Settings page, which removes your associated data from the active service. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten or purged. You can also request deletion by contacting us at hi@llmstatus.ai.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reliance on reputable infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly to any incident.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete it, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the dashboard, or by contacting us at hi@llmstatus.ai.

We will respond to verified requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

Children

LLM Status is a tool for software developers and engineering teams and is not directed to children. The service is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hi@llmstatus.ai and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the service or by email. Your continued use of LLM Status after an update means you accept the revised policy.
